Isolation Gown Pattern Construction and Sewing
Thanks for the awesome tutorial!! I watched a couple of other videos, did my alterations on my nephew's dress pants and then panicked thinking I did it wrong. I just watched your video and was so relieved because everything you said to do was exactly what i did lol. This was such a better explanation compared to the other tutorials I watched, I wish RUclips's algorithm had put it higher up in the suggested videos when i did my original search.
I'm glad you found it helpful!
Tell the truth! You didn't really need those instructions did you? Gr8 Job! Good 1st unboxing Vid! 😇👍
Reading instructions is boring. Much more fun to puzzle it out 😆
Not sure if it is mentioned in your comments... a product called Loctite applied to the hand wheel nut would stop the nut from falling off when reversing. Also a second nut on the thread spool shaft that could be tightened against the casting would secure the shaft.
I worked on mine way more than I ever sewed with it and I’m pretty good with Sewing machines. I gave mine away to a guy that has one for parts. PS I subscribed to your channel.
Sorry it didn't work out for you. Thanks for subscribing. Unfortunately, I've been way too busy to make any new videos for a while.
@ I did buy a cobra class 26 and I love that thing
Love it. I'm makng mine using Yarn Bee Soft & Sleek low-pill fiber. I know it's 2024, but I had the pattern for several years now and didn't get to make it.
Great video. How did you end up mounting it. I have a Juki to do bag work. However it’s difficult to get into the corners and other tight spots. I wanted this to do that because the sewing area is unobstructed. Do you know if that will work?
It just sits on the wood stand on my table. I do put a mat under it to help hold it still. It can get into tight spots.
Thank you for posting this video. It helped me out a lot. My machine came with holes that weren't threaded all the way, so I had to tap them out. It is cheap and if I can get it to work I will use it and so far you have helped me. I would only say that the extra bobbins are wired on the machine above the tensioners.
ur awesome love that you just went for it!
Hi fantastic video , I received the machine yesterday and managed to set it up , but I have a problem … it starts stitching ok but after the 6th or 7th stitch it doesn’t loop the thread anymore …. They don’t break just it stops catching the bottom thread …. What am I doing wrong ? This is my first cobbler machine… I’ve always hand stitched , thanks 😁😁😁
Oh no! Not sure but sounds like something is wrong with the bobbin. Try taking it out and putting it back in and double check how it's wound. Another thought . . . there are Facebook groups for sewing machine repair, you could join one and post the question there.
Hey just love your 'lets see how it goes' approach to this task. I have a carpet remnant and I'm going to try and achieve what you have. Thank you.
Thank you so much!
I’m so thankful you shared this! My daughter needed this done yesterday, and I had no idea how to accomplish it. I found your video and followed your instructions and did it beautifully! Thank you so much!
Your welcome, glad to hear you were successful!
That was an excellent tutorial! Thank you! I can't find a pattern! I guess I'll have to get out the old white paper :-)
Is that a Ka-Zha or more of a Ka-Chong had me dying 😂😂
This helped me hem my wedding dress!!! Just finished, thank you for sharing!
My grandma is 96 and doesn't always recognize people. She used to make these for me, so I'm making one for her. I figure even if she doesn't know who made it, she should recognize the "goonie bird" (her name for it). Hers didn't have hair, so this is an upgrade!
This is so creative! Thanks for sharing
Thank you!
hello can you tell me what type of needle and what brand do you take? even if you have an amazon link, thank you
I've just been using the needles it came with. They are size 18/110, which is for heavy-duty fabric. I can't read the brand name, but it's one I'm not familiar with. Sewing machine needles are a standard length so any brand will work. Although I had a sewing machine repair man scold me for using Singer needles in my Necchi because the Singer needles are apparently a tiny bit longer.
@@TheBusyBeeSews ok I see, thanks, I'm going to get this machine next month, maybe even with a small motor so I can have both hands to control the leather I was asking because I have a tippmann boss, and you need really long needles, like 6cm
I want to put a new rug over my old rug.how do i do that
I really love my machine. They definitely need some work straight out of the box.But I have found that they are easily modifiable and customizable, I've both modified and customized my machine and i've also made a couple of videos and put it on my channel on what I have done to it, I'm always interested in seeing what other people are doing to their machines and what they are doing with them. Thanks for making the video.😊
Really interesting redo!
Thank you, thank you! Last minute, "I want to go to HOCO" but nothing available to Thrift in his size at the last minute.
Thanks for the video! Great idea :) Do you think this would work well if you have a lot of curves and corners to bind? I'm turning an old rug into a funky new floor mat for our RV :)
I think so. Try on a scrap before committing.
Being is I'm seeing this and thus commenting 2 years after the video was published you may have aready thought of this but if you take you thread holder to a hardware store and have them give you a second nut for it, you canuse it to lock down against the machine and stop it from wobbling.
The way she made the stand for the machine is very solid and neat .
❤🎉🙏👑💎
this is great!! thank you!!
Thanks. This is so helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
the most helpful video I've watched. thanks a lot for sharing...now I'm up and running.
This was the first figure I ever crocheted. Thank you so much <3 You helped me find my love for it again. (Before that I had only done granny squares!)
I'm so glad!
What size paracord did you use or does that not matter great vlog wanting to do my Motorhome carpets
It doesn't really matter. Just think about the thickness of your carpet. Thin carpet would look better with a smaller size than a thick carpet. Then make sure you have enough fabric to go around it and still tape it to the rug.
you are a life saver. this tutorial is exactly what I needed THANK YOU
Glad it helped!
Ohhhh! A bit easier than the others i watched, b'c u took it apart at the seam going across the shoulder rather than down each side of the straps!
My machine came with a fishing line pre threaded and it went thru both tentioners
I'm getting married in 4 days and now i know how to finish my wedding dress hem! Hehe
Congratulations, I hope everything went well.
What is the name of the pen you are using?
After reviewing the video, it looks like I was using my Clover Chaco Liner Marker. It opens up, and you put chalk inside. Clover makes quilting supplies, so they are usually in the quilting notions department.
Informative video, bravo! I am allergic to nylon thread. Do you think this machine is capable of using cotton thread? Is there a thickness of cotton thread you recommend for sewing leather? Thanks !
I'm not sure, I tried cotton thread, but it was old and kept breaking. Does anyone else have any input?
@@TheBusyBeeSews Thank you for your reply. You are holding a piece of metal bar at 6:08 with 2 holes each end. Can you tell me where its mounted?
It was a duplicate part. If you follow the needle bar all the way to the top of the machine you should find the same part.
@@TheBusyBeeSews Oh, a spare part. Thank you so much for this.
Ty😊
The main piece is it 8x15?
Thanks for the info! Great tutorial! Have been looking for something to do with my scrap rugs!
Glad it was helpful!
That nut is a set nut for the post. Just fyi
First, thanks for an awesome video. This is really helpful. Second, your delivery on reading excerpts from the manual is PERFECT.
LOL, I'm very accomplished at reading gibberish : )
where did you buy it from with the grove in wheel
Coloured Peas shop on Amazon, FYI someone else just bought one from them and said it was cheap aluminum not cast iron like mine.
You mentioned starch when getting ready to sew final hem
I like to use starch to make the fabric easier to handle.
Hi I bought one supposedly from Coloured Peas called 10 bearing grooved. They advertise their product being CAST IRON being the green painted frame .. yours appears to be the right one being the oil protection on it .. mine was CAST ALUMINUM .. simple test with a magnet .. will stick to Iron not Aluminum .. Label on the box Coloured Peas .. I returned it for misleading description .. now have to wait 30 days for my money before I throw another dart to try get a CAST IRON one .. all ears for ideas .. I usually research the heck out of what I'm buying but seeing a couple of adds by Coloured Peas new grooved 10 bearing hand cobbler .. Aluminum is cheap crap cop out..BJ
Good Luck, mine is magnetic and weighs a ton so they have previously sold them.
I was assembling the one I recently purchased and went to RUclips to find help because the instructions were JUST LIKE YOURS. Following along with you was so helpful. Thank you so much.
Glad I could help.
Thank you for this tutorial, like you said, the instructions are useless and of all the videos I have gone through, your video covers it! You certainly saved me from many headaches lol!
Glad it helped
Thank you so much for this video. You are great with the small details.
Glad it was helpful!
How do you know if the unit has a grove in the main wheel?
The one I bought said it had one in the product description.
